Volunteer Fair with Octopus Community Network

 Volunteer Fair - with OCN

Wednesday 12th June 2019 at 12.30-2.30pm

Octopus Community Network (OCN) is a collaboration between the largest multi-purpose community centres in Islington. Without volunteers we simply could not do what we do in our communities.
We are now seeking people like you to volunteer with us to improve the neighbourhood where you live or the community places and spaces that you really care about.

What are the types of volunteers roles on offer?

        > Community Connectores: helping to outreach and engage people so that they are better connected with their local community

             > Community Organisers: helping to address local concerns or issues or developing ideas with groups of friends, neighbours and family.

        > Community Growers: helping local people transform their local green spaces or unloved spaces so that communities can grow food, create community gardens or nature-based play spaces.

> Community Health Champions: helping local people live healthier lives through supporting provision of health related projects.

         > Your organisational skills: good at organising, planning and arranging - all of these skills are much needed in your community.

                      > Your excellent people skills: your ability to connect and build relationships with people is really valuable to us.

    > Your passion for your community: it's very likely that we are excited about your passions... it can be infectious - if you feel passionate about your community come and share those passions with us.
