Energy Champion Celebration & Energy Workshop
ENERGY CHAMPION CELEBRATION AND ENERGY WORKSHOP
Thursday 21st October 2021 1pm-2.30pm
A huge thank you to everyone that attended the event, whether in person or online! Thanks, as always, to Power Up North London for their amazing work and endless energy advice for our local community. We’d also like to say a special thanks to Cllr Rowena Champion for her words and role in celebrating the Energy Champions, to Cllr Mick O'Sullivan and to our Lifestyle Tuesdays Craft Groups for the wonderful upcycled 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle' bunting.
We are living through a climate emergency and we must all play our part to address it. Join us to find out how you can lower your energy bills while enjoying a healthy and comfortable home environment!
This two part event: celebrating our recent Energy Champions and with an interactive energy workshop, this event is being held as part of Islington Council's Greener Together Climate Festival.
1-1.30 pm - Power Up North London (PUNL) will share two examples of Energy Champions' work Councillor Rowena Champion, Executive Member for Environment & Transport, Islington Council will hand out certificates to Energy Champions who participated in the training sessions run by PUNL this summer.
1.30-2.30 pm - A fun and interactive community workshop run by Alex Hartley an experienced energy advisor. You will learn about:
Healthy home temperatures, Reducing draughts & mould, Saving energy and money, Accessing the best tariffs and Managing energy debt
Light refreshments will be provided. Organised by Power Up North London in collaboration with Caxton House. Please note we will be maintaining Covid-safe distancing and ask all attendees to wear masks (bar those that are exempt).
